Why investing in Grenada was Kate’s “best decision”

Recently, the local news has been reporting that the influx of investors in Grenada has become steadier in the last few months.

So we’ve recently sat down with an American lady, that moved to Grenada 3 years ago. Kate Larry is a US citizen and has recently changed her life completely, by moving to the Caribbean.

She even found a part-time job as a realtor in St George’s giving advice to newcomers, especially regarding  Grenadian Citizenship investments, after her experience with a consulting firm for applying to the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program.

Investment in Grenada is being considered by foreigners and one of the best decisions I ever made. It was the first step towards my retirement years dream life.

Why did Kate move to Grenada in the first place?

When Kate moved to Grenada in 2019, she was just another American soon-to-be retiring citizen. She had been working hard to save up enough money to live her late years in a comfortable manner.

The background story was that in the summer of 2017, Kate decided to do a break from work and travel around the Caribbean. She spent months traveling through St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Grenada. This last nation was the one that she like the most, perhaps because while there, she met a man named David who would become her husband in the following year.

And when Kate was back in New York, she couldn’t simply take away from her mind a possible move to the Caribbean, in this Grenada.

So, after some research on the internet, she discovered that Grenada was not only beautiful but also very welcoming to foreigners. And that it was a good country to invest in. She started looking for opportunities to eventually move there completely.

Kate eventually found an investment consulting firm after comparing different solutions, and what she found out was quite pleasant. They offered her an initial consultation to help her decide if she wanted to invest or not in Grenada’s citizenship by investment program.

Kate went ahead and invested in Grenada citizenship. She chose to invest in the Real Estate sector, which was something new for her. But she liked the various options she could apply for, whether it was real estate or investment funds

Her interview was actually the basis for writing the following two articles:

In those two articles we sum up the feedback from Kate, and she is now also an author on our website.

Why Is Grenada an Attractive Investment Destination?

#1. Starting to be a Stable Economy

A stable economy is something that everyone wants. And since Grenada has improved dramatically into a more stable economy, it is a good choice for those looking for a safe investment.

Grenada’s economy is based on tourism and agriculture. The government promotes tourism by offering incentives to visitors. These include health care, education, and cheap electricity.

The government also encourages farmers to grow crops using renewable resources. This helps protect the environment and keeps prices down.

#2. Low Inflation Rates

Low inflation rates are important for anyone hoping to save money. Since Grenada has been experiencing low inflation rates in the past years, it is a good option for those looking to build wealth over time.

According to the ECCB, inflation in Grenada was 1.2% in 2021. This rate is lower than the average of the Caribbean countries.

This means that you can expect to see savings increase over time.

#3. Growing Population

Grenada’s population is increasing every year, even if at a low rhythm. The country had a population of around 112,000 in 2020.

This growth is due to the fact that Grenada is a popular tourist destination. As more tourists come to the island, so does the need for housing.

#4. Tax Haven Status

Tax havens offer a convenient way to avoid paying taxes. They allow individuals and companies to keep their earnings without having to worry about paying much taxes.

Grenada is a tax haven. It doesn’t impose a great percentage of taxes on income earned in the country.

#5. Wide Range of Properties Available

When searching for a home to buy, you want to find one that meets your needs.

But finding a suitable home isn’t always easy. Fortunately, Grenada offers a large selection of properties for sale.

You can choose between condos, villas, apartments, and townhouses. All of them provide different amenities and features.

For example, some homes may have pools while others may have tennis courts. Some may be close to schools while others may be far away from them.

Whatever type of property you’re interested in, Grenada has options for you.

# 6. Easy Access to the US

Americans love visiting other countries. And since Grenada is just a 3 and half-hour flight, it’s one of the islands in the Caribbean that is most in demand by American vacationers.

If you decide to invest in Grenada, access to the United States won’t be a nightmare
