2006 independence message

"Promoting growth, stability and poverty alleviation"
 32 Years is only a moment in nation building and for us as Grenadians, ahead lays a long road. However, we must unite as "one people, one family", and together, rebuild a nation to be proud of. We give thanks and praise to God for His protection over us and His goodness towards us.
To the various Grenadian Community Groups in New York and elsewhere in the sincere thanks and appreciation for your continued efforts in supporting the rebuild the distinguished Honorees, we celebrate with you on your most deserving awards, which serve as tribute to your contribution to the community and to Grenada.
To the Chairman and members of the 2006 Independence Celebrations Committee, we thank you for your kind-heartedness and labour of love. To all our friends and well-wishers, we appreciate your support.
The challenges we faced in 2005 will only serve to make us stronger and more resilientas we look forward to a bright and productive 2006, and to your continued cooperation.
As we embark upon another year in our history as an Independent Nation, may we strive to build a nation, which will be able to withstand the challenges we are bound to face in a global society where change has become a constant reality.
May God bless our Nation and Happy Independence to all!
